Gestational surrogacy is a modern form of assisted reproductive technology that allows intended parents to build their families with the help of a gestational carrier, also known as a gestational surrogate. In this process, the gestational surrogate carries and delivers a child for another person or couple who, due to infertility or specific medical conditions, are unable to carry a pregnancy themselves. Unlike traditional surrogacy, gestational surrogacy involves no genetic connection between the surrogate and the child. Instead, embryos are created through in vitro fertilization (IVF), using eggs and sperm from the intended parents or, when necessary, from an egg donor or sperm donor. The resulting embryo is then transferred to the gestational carrier’s uterus, where she carries the pregnancy to term.
This approach to assisted reproduction offers hope to individuals and couples who may have struggled with infertility, have a health condition that makes pregnancy risky, or are part of a same-sex partnership. Gestational surrogacy provides a pathway to parenthood that allows intended parents to have a biological child, even when they cannot carry the pregnancy themselves. With the support of a reputable surrogacy agency and a dedicated medical team, the process is carefully managed to ensure the health and well-being of all parties involved, from embryo creation to the birth of your child.
Surrogacy enables individuals or couples, known as intended parents, to have a child with the assistance of a surrogate mother. A surrogate mother carries and delivers a baby for those unable to conceive or carry a pregnancy themselves.
Biological Connection: Intended parents can have a genetic link to their child.
Active Participation: They can be involved throughout the pregnancy journey.
Overcoming Infertility: Surrogacy offers a path to parenthood for those facing infertility challenges.
Surrogacy empowers intended parents to create their own family, regardless of their background.
This process fosters meaningful relationships and provides a fulfilling experience for all parties involved.
We proudly work with healthy, kind, dedicated surrogates in Mexico, making our services 50% less expensive than in the U.S. However, despite the cost-inclusiveness of our care, you don’t have to compromise on the quality of care. We thoroughly screen potential surrogates to ensure they are prepared for surrogacy and meet the following requirements:
With comprehensive physical and mental examinations, laboratory work, phone and video consultations, and a background check, we take every measure to you with the best possible surrogate match who will give you the best chance of building the family you have always wanted.
We understand starting your journey of building a family can be equally exciting and overwhelming, so before you get started, we explain the process and what to expect. Surrogacy arrangements involve formal legal, financial, and procedural steps designed to ensure clarity and protection for all parties involved. While every intended parent and situation is different, you can generally expect the following steps during the surrogacy process:
We start your fertility journey with a consultation to discuss your goals, concerns, and questions to determine if surrogacy is right for you. During this initial consultation, we also address the psychological aspects of surrogacy, providing education and support for the emotional journey involved. We also explain the rest of the surrogacy process so you can feel confident and informed from the beginning.
If you choose to move forward with surrogacy to build your family, we work with you to find your perfect surrogate based on your personal preferences and expectations so you are on the same page about the relationship you want with your surrogate.
Once you have matched with your surrogate, we will medically prepare them and create embryos if needed. Embryos are made using eggs and sperm from either the intended parents (with sperm often provided by the intended father) or donors.
The legal aspects of the surrogacy process can be complicated, so our legal experts work with you to protect your rights and ensure all paperwork and contracts are in order. Legal agreements and a legal contract are essential to clearly define the rights and responsibilities of all parties involved in the surrogacy process, including the surrogate and intended parents.
After you and your surrogate sign your contracts, your surrogate can have the embryos transferred into her uterus. We will monitor your surrogate closely and conduct laboratory work to confirm the pregnancy’s success. If your surrogate becomes pregnant, we will start preparing her and you for birth during the second trimester. We also support all parties after birth, so you never feel alone.
Surrogacy is a profound journey that offers a pathway to parenthood for many individuals and couples facing various challenges. At IVF Origen Agency, we understand the deep emotional and physical investments involved in the decision to pursue surrogacy. Here are four common reasons why surrogacy may be the chosen path for building a family.
For some individuals, medical conditions prevent them from carrying a pregnancy to term. This can include conditions like severe uterine fibroids, absence of a uterus, or significant medical issues that make pregnancy risky for the mother. Surrogacy provides a viable alternative, allowing them to have a biological child.
Infertility is a common issue that affects many couples. When traditional fertility treatments such as IVF are unsuccessful, surrogacy can be an effective option. It allows intended parents to use their own genetic material, ensuring a biological connection to their child.
Same-sex couples, particularly male couples, often turn to surrogacy to build their families. Surrogacy enables them to have a child that shares a genetic link with one or both partners. This path also provides a way to have a family that aligns with their personal and legal circumstances.
Our agency proudly supports intended parents regardless of sexual orientation, ensuring inclusivity and dedicated assistance for LGBTQ+ families.
Single individuals who wish to become parents may find surrogacy to be a suitable option. This can include single men who want to have a biological child or single women who are unable to carry a pregnancy due to medical reasons. Surrogacy provides a clear pathway to parenthood for those pursuing it on their own. Our agency welcomes clients regardless of marital status, offering dedicated support for single intended parents.
Gestational surrogacy has become one of the most successful and reliable options for intended parents seeking to grow their families through assisted reproductive technology. Success rates for gestational surrogacy are generally high, thanks to advances in in vitro fertilization (IVF), comprehensive medical screenings, and the careful selection of experienced gestational carriers. Several factors contribute to positive outcomes, including the age and health of the egg donor or intended mother, the quality of the embryos, and the expertise of the IVF clinic and surrogacy agency involved.
For intended parents, working with a full service surrogacy agency like IVF Origen Agency means access to top-tier medical care, thorough psychological and medical screenings for gestational surrogates, and ongoing support throughout the surrogacy journey. These measures help ensure a healthy pregnancy and increase the likelihood of a successful live birth. Most intended parents experience a deep sense of fulfillment and joy as they welcome their child, while gestational surrogates often report a rewarding experience knowing they have helped another person or couple achieve their dream of parenthood.
While every surrogacy arrangement is unique, the majority of gestational surrogacy journeys result in healthy pregnancies and babies. By choosing an agency with a proven track record and a commitment to best practices in reproductive medicine, intended parents can feel confident in their decision to pursue surrogacy and look forward to positive outcomes for their growing family.

CONTACT USThere is a lot of information out there about surrogacy, some good but most of it not very useful at best. For an in-depth look at how to make your surrogacy process simpler and a whole lot happier, please read our blog. If you are ready to get started, here are the next steps to having a baby via surrogate.
Many intended parents worry that the surrogate will keep their baby. Ironically, one of the most common concerns we hear from surrogates is that the intended parents will leave them with the baby! Surrogates are able to be surrogates because they have a very easy time getting and being pregnant. And they are all already mothers. If they want more children, they can just have their own child, on their own. Surrogates are drawn to this process by a compelling desire to make a difference and help others. Being pregnant is a gift they have and can share with others.
With over 8 years of experience and with presence in several countries and support staff, IVF ORIGEN AGENCY is one of the most successful and highly rated surrogacy agencies in the United States. Here is what intended parents love about our program:
Our comprehensive package, priced at $44,000, covers all essential expenses + emergency fee of $4000 (refundable). This covers the cost of:
In the last few years, we’ve witnessed an explosion in the number of companies offering benefits to help their employees start a family. Thanks to fertility benefit providers like Carrot, Progyny, and WINFertility, more and more employers are recognizing the importance of comprehensive and inclusive family creation benefits. You may have benefits to help cover the cost of starting your family through surrogacy and/or egg donation.
We see a wide range of benefits offered so we encourage all prospective parents to reach out to their human resources group and ask the following questions:
Yes, you will need to wait to be matched with a surrogate, and that wait time is influenced by two main factors: demand for surrogacy and your personal preferences for the process.
The screening process for surrogates includes medical screening with an in vitro fertilization (IVF) physician, psychological testing and evaluation, and a criminal history background check. Leading up to these screenings, surrogate candidates will go through a qualification and application process, including a phone and video consultation, review of their past obstetrical history by an IVF physician and laboratory testing.
The surrogacy process can take anywhere from two to two and a half years for most intended parents. The surrogacy timeline can be broken down into five stages: search, screening, legal, conception, and, finally, pregnancy/delivery.
The U.S. Department of State determines whether a child born abroad to a U.S. citizen parent acquired U.S. citizenship at birth. A child born abroad acquires U.S. citizenship at birth if the parent or parents of the child meet the conditions prescribed in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).
The U.S. Department of State interprets the INA to mean that a child born abroad must be genetically or gestationally related to a U.S. citizen parent or to a non-U.S. citizen parent who is married to a U.S. citizen parent at the time of the child’s birth. The parent must meet the following statutory transmission requirements of INA 301 or 309 in order for the child to acquire U.S. citizenship at birth.
CRBAs are issued to both U.S. citizens and non-citizen nationals, and they document that a child was a U.S. citizen at birth. A CRBA neither serves as proof of the child’s legal parents nor is it intended to serve as proof. In general, the name or names listed on the CRBA are the U.S. citizen or national’s parent(s) with a genetic or gestational connection to the child. The name of the parent(s) through whom the child’s claim to U.S. citizenship is made must be listed on the CRBA. A parent who is not transmitting U.S. citizenship may be listed on the CRBA if they provide documentary evidence of a connection to the child and with consent of the parent who is transmitting U.S. citizenship.
